Two small budget hotels marketed for families and the business traveler are designed on two sites in Grand Baie. The bedroom layout is an L-shape which minimises frontage whilst interlocking with the next one. The marketing formula is dependent upon the availability of restaurants in the Grand Baie area but also provides for minimal cooking facilities in the room. This removes the need for the standard back of house and restaurant facilities of a standard hotel, saving site space and cost and permitting the hotels to be built on small plots of land.
