This land on high ground overlooking the Bay of Black River was scheduled for development for family members. Master plan layouts and a schedule of planning regulations were drafted so that future development would become a harmonious whole.
Furthermore, a hotel and golf course was intended on the southern portion of the land with magnificent views on the green lagoon of Le Morne peninsula. The site is known for the traditional production of salt produced by the evaporation of sea water in shallow pans built in stone. This was kept as a theme running through the project, reinstated as reflective pools and incorporated in the design of the golf course. The spa of the hotel was to be a true thalasso therapy celebrating salt.
