The design of a 380 key beach hotel sited on the windward south beach of Le Morne was a challenge. The preservation of the site’s natural beauty and the views of the coastline seen from the sea were intended to be as though the hotel was never built. To achieve this, the buildings were set back 50m from the beach and the existing vegetation retained in its original state whilst using them as a wind barrier. This was complemented with new palm trees. The hotel contains 4 restaurants, 2 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts and a spa. It was designed with the architectural theme of mainland India.
