The office building was designed to accommodate the growing office staff of the numerous departments of Ireland Blyth Ltd (IBL), one of the largest trading companies in Mauritius.

It was sited on JF Kennedy Avenue in the heart of the capital city Port Louis in the corner of their property opposite Rogers House.
